So why have I labeled myself as the happy guy?

It’s because I had the chance to photograph some amazing people last night. Namely, the performers of the “Over the Mistletoe” show: Tim Ferguson of April Chase, John Cruz and Chris Calara of A Thin Catastrophe, Ryan Bandong aka Mitchell Grey, Vincent Do, Brian Dublin, Adrian Per, Jay Marquez, Paolo Valera, Kierra Folsom, Robee Aquino, Jmic, Melvin Gutierrez, Stefan Sanchez, Jenny Suk, Pmac, and Andrew Rhim (who also accompanied with Lihz Phan, not pictured above). These performers packed quite a crowd at the quaint little Onyx Cafe in Daly City for the free show. The cafe had held other open mics in the past (when Amiel “SummerBreeze” Maquilan was at the helm), but the Melvin and Stefan (and the rest of the Versatile Fam) took over. They did a great job of booking and promoting their first open mic! They all put up an amazing night for all of the fans at the 3x capacity-filled cafe:

Also, a big shout out to all the Eddie and Emily Ho and all employees at Onyx. I have a crazy amount of respect and awe for them because they tirelessly keep the place running smooth every day especially on hectic nights as last night. Please stop by there and support them! Once again, I want to give a big thank you to all the performers and everyone behind the curtains, er, coffee table and sound equipment. To everyone involved with the show: Thank you guys so much for coming out to Daly City from all over the country to put up a show and for sharing pieces of yourselves with the audience. I regret being unable to get individual portraits of everyone like I had planned to, but I promise to make it up to everyone in the future.
